Saatva Review

The Company

Saatva is a company that very much operate from a clear philosophy of providing luxury for less. One way they do this is by being strictly an online-only mattress company, thus eliminating overhead costs that are often paid for in the consumer’s bottom line. Founded in 2010, they have used their many years of experience to become one of the largest online mattress companies with many happy customers. Saatva are also very committed to the environment and put an emphasis on using certifiably green products as much as possible.

What's unique

Saatva mattresses are designed to be luxury mattresses at an affordable price, coming in a cool $1000 under paralleling retail mattress price points. They combine coil on coil technology with their custom comfort levels to create the desired effect of total luxury and are also compatible with an adjustable base. The custom comfort levels allow each customer to create their ideal sleeping experience and are intended to appeal to the widest array of tastes, and therefore customers who prefer their mattress extremely soft or hard will not find it here. The three levels are firm, luxury firm, and plush soft. The firm level is best for back or stomach sleepers who prefer the floating feeling to the sinking one. The luxury firm is recommended for couples, people who like to sleep on their side, stomach, or back, and those who are looking for the “in-between”- not too soft, not too firm. The plush soft level is for those who are truly looking to sink into their mattress at night and still get the support their body needs.

The Mattress

The Saatva mattress is made up of 5 distinct features. The first layer is made of individually wrapped comfort coils, which contour to any body shape. The next layer is the dual perimeter edge support system, which combats the edge weakness many foam mattresses have. The third layer is the lumbar support enhancement which is made of memory foam and provides additional pressure relief. The fourth layer the steel coil base support system, which is what gives the Saatva mattress its durability. Finally, the fifth layer is the organic cotton cover and Euro pillow top. This layer provides cushioning and has antimicrobial fabric treatment  which keeps the mattress cleaner for longer.
